Germany - Dresden to Berlin

The Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) stands out and is one of the must-sees in Dresden. It was built in the 1700s but almost totally destroyed in the World War II bombings. It was left in ruins for 50 years as a war memorial and did not undergo renovation and rebuilding until after the reunification of Germany beginning in 1994.
